We have been doing some routine scans on a few clusters of cometary debris and other minerals next to Bajor. So since this was a routine mission and close I gave our crew shore leave.
Mostly routine scans and minor planetary particles collect with some new gaseous anomalies for our Medical Department to gnaw at.
We had a few more retrofits and upgrades since we have been at DS9. Nothing too showy just some increase in crew capacity as well and remodel of the interior of my ship since this ship has been around and have done some major things.

So on a much more personal note. I was able to finally open the chest I got back from my Betazoid holiday. What I found was a Klingon Bat’leth, a letter, and a few old bio-pics from the past and Isolinear chips with logs which belonged to my human mother who I had thought was someone I would never know. Only reason as a child, my mother was exiled from Betazoid for being the diplomat who was framed for the cause of the failed attempt at reasoning with the Dominion before the start of the “Battle of Betazed” I never got to fully bond with her.
At least that is what I was told by my father and grandfather and grandmother!
What I found out is this was a cover-up and then buried because at the time there wasn’t a system to catalog this type of situation.
Seems during my Proycon 5 mission she was in one of the time streams that changed when we destroy the time spheres. In her original time-line she stopped the war!
Once her original timeline was altered she was thrown into a universe where she was unsuccessful at the diplomatic talks with the Dominion forces before the “Battle of Betazed”.
That is why she was found, court marshaled by The Betazoid Government and exiled from Betazed because of her failed attempt and because her ship and crew where destroyed in the fight with the Dominion.
The letter I have states she was en-route to work on the construction of Starbase 234 where the ship she was on was ambushed by Nak’hul Forces from a different time, which had went back to this time to stop Starbase 234 from being built.
The Na’khul ship she was captured on, went back to their time but was then captured by Terran Forces from the Mirror Universe trying to stop the Na’kul from overtaking the Alpha Quadrant.
The Terran Prisoner ship was going back to their own time with all of the crew being sent to the local moon colony for processing.
Seems she was already pregnant with me at the time of her abduction.
Here is a part of my mother’s letter:
“……it seems time itself can not stop destiny from unfolding in a manner of that which no one can control. Just to let you know how much I wanted to keep you but with the Terran Empire being in this universe it is a society where telepathy is only a female trait, you would be cause of great chaos within this time. I know you would have made me proud in this time but you would have been dead about now if you stayed here.”
I don’t know what to think as I feel like since being in my current time I have not even heard about the Battle of Betazed nor does the head of the Betazoid Archival Records. I hate Temporal Mechanics!!!!
In the letter as well states that during her time down on the moon she met a group of people who where from “another time” stating if she wasn’t on board a certain ship at a certain time I wouldn’t be where I am today!
Here is what she says in a log entry I am reading:

“I don’t know how or why I found out about it, but I did. I am supposed to be on this ship called the “Enterprise”. Seem this “Daniel” character is adamant I get on this ship. Well I don’t have any way of making that happen but I will see what I can do about booking passage since I have to go to Betazed for a hearing.”

I managed to contact Starfleet Intelligence and they said that there was an incident involving the Enterprise where they were called to a distance moon near Betazed and they picked up a small escape pod on one of the moons.
I think correlated it with my records from Betazed and that is where I was found with the chest. Since my father and step-mother was alive I was sent to live with them.
It is all making sense!
I am reading the last log entry she wrote and it is addressed to me:

Captain’s Log:
I have been given a new chance…with all of my shortcomings I have been asked to be part of a “Temporal Alliance” which will not only keep my timeline but every other timeline protected from tampering. I must not fail as I have been more or less a “fallen angel” in the eyes of my Universe….but Daniels assures me that will pass, seeing how I will be removed from this time forever and not be allowed to intervene with it.
I have my own ship and crew and a purpose again but the biggest regret is I wont be there to see you become a fine Starfleet Officer, or man you are destined to be.
To my child Jamelle Aldebaren of El ‘Nar, I will always be with you and as a token of my love here is the Ba’tleth I used and am currently using to fight off the evils that threaten time itself. Even though you never have known me. I am always with you and know I love you.
I will be watching your time-stream always!
